Origin scaphoid, trapezium, and radial side of flexor retinaculumm
Insertion anterolateral aspect of proximal phalanx of thumb
Action(s) thumb abduction (anteriorly away from palm at cmc joint)
Nerve Supply recurrent motor branch of median nerve
Arterial Supply superficial palmar arch
